Abstract
PT.Bintang Samudra Utama Pontianak Branch is a shipping company engaged in the field of ship agents, disassembly. Ship agency service process at PT. The Main Ocean Star starts from the plot of the boat, the unloading process from the ship and until the ship leaves the harbor. Information technology is needed for ship service agency activities can be presented quickly, precisely and easily. Ship agency service procedure at PT. The Main Ocean Star includes clearence in and clearence out of the vessel. Ship agency service system at PT. The star of the Main Ocean starts from the ship arrives. Then make a clearent in submitted to Syahbandar and Pelindo for the determination of place of dock and request for scouting services in Pelindo. The last ship service that is making clearent out filed syahbandar for the departure of the ship. Vessel agency services in the form of document handling of ship's crew and ship requirement during the dock. The author uses four methods of interview method, observation method, document method, and library study method. From the results of observations the authors conclude so that the ship agent service process can run smoothly, quickly and safely should PT.Bintang Samudra Utama more discipline means of infrastructure needed, and more discipline employees who carry out activities in the field for safety to stay awake. For service users should adhere to the system procedures that have been set at PT. Bintang Samudra Utama to make the service work properly. Keywords: Service, Agency, Document
