Abstract

Road safety is very important to be considered by every road user. There are various traffic signs that are installed either on the mark or on the road, all of which are intended to discipline road users, and directly aim to maintain the safety of road users Problem formulation, research objectives and hypotheses in this study were to analyze the influence between independent variables namely the behavior of motorcycle riders, traffic characteristics, road conditions and the concentration of riders on the dependent variable ie traffic safety. The sample in this study was 100 respondents who were Semarang Majapahit road users. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression technique. Based on the results of research and multiple analyzes generated equations Y = -2,004 + 0,286 X1 + 0,246 X2 + 0,253 X3 + 0,328 X4 + μ The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that there is a partially positive effect between the behavior of motorcyclists on traffic accidents (t count 3.676> t table 1.98525), traffic characteristics on traffic accidents (t count 2.591> t table 1, 98525), road conditions for traffic accidents (t count 2.864> t table 1.98525) and driver concentration (t count 4.093> t table 1.98525). The influence of the three research variables is very strong with a correlation value of R = 0.639. Simultaneously the variables of motorcycle rider behavior, traffic characteristics of road conditions and rider concentration affect traffic safety and are influenced by research variables not detected in this study.
