Abstract
This paper is prepared with the objective of knowing the implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) approval in the Directorate of Shipping and Marine Affairs, Directorate General of Sea Transportation (Ministry of Transportation) to a company to employ crews / workers in accordance with the provisions contained on the CBA. Collective agreements or Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) are a special type of commercial agreement, usually negotiated "collectively" between Management (on behalf of the company) and Union (on behalf of employees / crew). Collective agreements govern the terms and conditions of employees / crew on the work, duties and tasks of their employers. This determines the conditions of employment (wages, hours of work and conditions, overtime pay, holidays, benefits, etc.) and dispute settlement procedures. Also called employment agreements, union agreements, or Union Contracts. To achieve the above objectives, the authors use several methods of data collection that is observation, method of analysis, interview method, and documentation method, and the source and type of data. CBA service procedures in the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Sub-Directorate of Marine Transportation (Ministry of Transportation) starting from the submission, the fulfillment of the terms and conditions are absolutely necessary to be fulfilled by each related party, so that later all things listed in the CBA can be accounted for.
